I enclose statement of our bill in re Oole et al. v. Hall et al., for which we have not yet received check.1

Yours very truly, CWC/FL

Correspondent: Burrows, Preusser & Morris was a Cleveland law firm specializing in corporate law run by three White lawyers and businessmen. George Humphrey Burrows (1863–1931) and John Hugh Morris (1891–1971) founded the firm in 1919. Herman J. Preusser (1855–1939) was from Germany, an attorney in Ohio since 1895, and a partner in the firm by 1921.

1. Chesnutt's stenography firm specialized in legal cases and he and his staff billed many law firms for their services. The referenced case (in which "Oole" should possibly read "Cole") has not been identified. [back]
