BACON & CRANE 60 WALL STREET Chas. W. Chesnutt, Esq. Williamson Bldg. Cleveland, O. Dear Sir:—

I am much obliged for your note of December 1. I trust the bobbin will be wound up this time. I will send you form of certificate before the week is out.1

Very truly, Selden Bacon

Correspondent: Selden Bacon (1861–1946) was a lawyer from a prominent New England family known for his work in equity cases. After legal work in Minnesota from 1884 to 1894, he practiced for over 50 years in New York City and was involved in high-profile equity cases and appeals nationwide.

1. This note presumably refers to one of several civil-law cases and appeals in which Bacon was involved in 1906. It is not known which of these Chesnutt was (presumably professionally) involved in. [back]
