Bernard Quaritch, Limited,
11 Grafton Street, New Bond Street,
London, W. I.
Gentlemen:
Please send me, as listed in your catalogue No. 368 which you were good enough to send me, a copy of the "Villon (Francois) Oeuvres," at £ 0 10 6, for which I enclose a postal money order.1 I am not quite clear from your catalogue whether this includes postage or not, and if not, kindly advise me and I will pay the rest.
Yours very truly, CWC/FLCorrespondent: Bernard Quaritch, Ltd. was a prominent London-based bookseller specializing in rare books and manuscripts. Founded in 1847 by German-born Bernard Quaritch (1819–1899), it was well known for its large, extensively researched catalogues. It continued to be run by the family after his death; from 1913 to 1922 the manager was E. H. Dring, Quaritch's son-in-law.
