               <p>I am sorry to have to report that Micheaux Film Corporation<ref target="n.per00095"/> has failed to remit for its two notes of $100.00 each, due December 15, 1921, and January 15, 1922,<ref target="n.dat00550"/> for motion picture rights in my "The House Behind the Cedars."<ref target="n.lit00502"/> They make an explanation which sounds reasonable, and ask<del hand="#h02" rend="overstrike">ed</del> that I give them until April <add hand="#h02" place="inline">/</add>15th to make a remittance, and I am writing them today consenting to this request.<ref target="n.dat00572"/> I shall remit promptly your proportion of whatever I get, when I get it.<ref target="n.his00067"/></p>
