Dear Sir:

I have a letter from FayettvilleFayetteville from Mat‸thew L. Hicks, asking me to help him learn the whereabouts of his father, Edward Hicks, who left Pittsburgh, Pa., fifteen years ago, to take a painting contract in the West. The last letter received from him was postmarked Cleveland, and his people are anxious for some reason to find out where he is. If you happen to be the man or know anything about him and will advise me of that fact or whatever the fact is by putting a note in the enclosed stamped and addressed envelope, I shall be much obliged.
